NEW VACANCY TRADING FURNISHING MANAGER Leading Home Furnishings and Building Materials Retailer KUWAIT OPEN TO ALL NATIONALITIES Our client is the biggest Building and Homewares retail store in the Middle East. The organization has departments including furniture, bathrooms, kitchens, tools and hardware products. We are looking for aTrading Furnishing Manager to join their rapidly expanding team. OVERVIEW The Trading Furnishing Manager is responsible for studying customer needs and translating it to build a winning assortment and determine pricing strategies through managing, implementing and monitoring category business plans and ensuring the development of new or existing products and markets in order to achieve the maximum gross margin per product. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Study Customer needs and translate it into products for building a winning assortment that accomplishes company’s required market share. • Achieve the highest Gross Margin Return on Inventory Investment (GMROII) ratio after studying the different competitors’ products and performing the best practice product benchmarking. • Put the best suitable pricing policy comparing to competitors’ prices; tactical and strategic. • Create and develop the promotional calendar and the most suitable communication channels, and asses their success against plan. • Track and analyze category and product performance in terms of volume and profitability. • Manage the process of discontinuing products and ensure presenting the best alternatives solutions. • Oversee sales data, market research and promotions and assess their success against plan. • Ensure that all the category’s products are properly displayed in-store as per agreed with the Visual Merchandising Senior Officer • Provide on product technical training for sales team and explain the product specifications, features and alternatives ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • 10 -15 years overall Experience • 5 years experience within management in furniture is a MUST • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant subjects, preferably an MBA • Retail background essential, furniture retail background preferred • Strategic Thinking and high level of management skills • Deep knowledge on Category Management and product knowledge • Strong market awareness • Strong understanding of customer expectations • Analytical skills with ability to direct multiple priorities • Strong communication, organizational and planning skills • Advanced Computer Skills KEY SKILLS • Leadership skills • Result orientation • Teamwork
